trialing @ Springwood

  • What is a Trial Registrtion?

A trial registration is a two-week registration that the athlete and guardian/s the opportunity to assess suitability before committing to the full season registration fees.

  • Is there a cost to trial?

Yes, the trial registration fee is $20 for two weeks. Should your child wish to continue after the trial, the $20 fee will be deducted from the full registration fee, meaning you only pay the balance of the season registration.

  • Can we trial at any time of the season?

Trial registrations are traditionally completed early in the season, allowing athletes to transition to a full registration and enjoy all the benefits of membership. However, we understand that every family's circumstances are different and are happy to work with you to ensure your athlete has the opportunity to experience athletics at Springwood before making a commitment.

  • Do we have to do the two weeks consecutively?

We understand that life can be busy and unexpected commitments can arise. Your two-week trial does not need to be completed over two consecutive competition nights. We’re happy to work with you to ensure your child has the opportunity to fully experience our program before deciding whether to register for the season.

  • How do we sign up for a trial?

All registrations are completed online for your convenience. Once registrations are open, you can register for a two-week trial through our online registration system. Simply click the pen icon to begin the registration process and follow the prompts.

PLAY ON! Vouchers @ Springwood

The Play On! Sports Vouchers program is designed to help more young people participate in organised sport and physical activity. By reducing the cost of registration, the program makes it easier for families to support their children in trying new sports, joining local clubs, and staying active within their community.

As a registered activity provider, Springwood Little Athletics accepts the $200 Play On! Sports Voucher as payment towards registration fees.

Once you have received your voucher and are ready to register, simply enter the voucher code during the online registration process. The voucher will be applied as a payment option and deducted from your registration fees.

Eligible families are encouraged to apply for a Play On! Sports Voucher before completing their registration to take full advantage of the available support.

Dual Registration @ Springwood

  • What is Dual Registration?

Dual Registration is Springwood's way of supporting athletes as they transition from Little Athletics to Senior Athletics through Queensland Athletics. By providing a reduced registration pathway, eligible athletes can enjoy the benefits of both programs while remaining involved in Little Athletics until they feel confident and comfortable making the move to senior competition. This approach recognises the importance of athlete development pathways and helps make participation more affordable for families during this transition period.

  • Am I eligible for a Dual Registration discount?

All athletes from Under 13 to Under 17 are eligible for the discount if they register with a Queensland Athletics club for the 2026/2027 season.

  • Does it require a certain Queensland Athletics registration level?

No - we recognise all QA levels from Basic to Platinum. It is important to note that U16 and U17 Athletes are eligible for a refund of the association fees (further $108) but require Platinum QA membership and upon request and proof of membership
