Good evening Sharkies,

I hope everyone has enjoyed a refreshing break over the past few weeks and is ready for the exciting second half of the season. I’m sure many of our athletes are eager to get back out on the track and field!
 
We return this week with our full program:
 
Wednesday, 7 October : Tiny Tots: 5:00 pm – 5:45 pm
Friday, 9 October : Full competition program for all age groups, including Tiny Tots.
 
You might notice an increase in some age group numbers, as returning athletes traditionally make their way into the fold after the holidays.  Rest assured, the committee continues to monitor the age group numbers and has a few strategies to manage them if required.
 
We look forward to seeing all our athletes and families back at the track for what promises to be a fantastic few months ahead.

If you’re an UNDER 14,  Under 15, Under 16 or Under 17 athlete who enjoys being involved, supporting others and helping make our Centre a great place to be, this could be your opportunity to step up.

Regional Relays are just around the corner.  This season, the South East Regional Relays will be held at the State Athletics Facility (SAF) on Sunday, 8th November. 
It is a great, fun event (Under 7 to Under 17) and the only athletics carnival where the focus is on the team.
You can read some basic FAQs here:

  • Under 7s and Under 8s can nominate for up to four (4) events ($6 an event, capped at $18)

  • Under 9s to Under 17s can nominate for up to five (5) events ($6 per event, capped at $24)

  • Nominations will be via your Results HQ profile and are open now.  
The table below shows available events for each age group. 
Springwood utilises Results HQ to host all results from our weekly centre evening.
